Grass, Phormium Black Mondo Grass

Phormium Black Grass is a dramatic and striking ornamental grass known for its bold, dark foliage and architectural form. It adds a strong visual statement to containers and garden landscapes with its unique texture and color.  This grass grows to a height of 3 feet or more and thrives in sun to part shade (needs at least 4-6 hours of sunlight for best color).  Blooms in late spring to early summer, producing tall flower spikes with tubular, red or orange flowers. However, the foliage is the primary feature of this plant.
